One stock record for the whole park, logged in the field across every section.
Keepers log every animal where it stands, on the mobile app, offline across acres of reserve. The admin portal keeps one inspection-ready collection record for the whole park: sex, date of birth, origin, hazard category and the welfare trail on every animal, from the drive-through herds to the walk-through enclosures.
The keeper apps are in an invite-only beta. Early-access spots open now.

A wildlife or safari park is a zoo under the Zoo Licensing Act 1981.
Wildlife and safari parks are licensed and inspected as zoos: wild animals exhibited to the public seven or more days a year. Section 1A(f) requires an up-to-date collection record; SSSMZP 2012 §12 (Stock Records) details it, and the new Standards of Modern Zoo Practice for GB apply from 24 May 2027. On a large multi-section site with several keeper teams, the hard part is keeping one current record across all of it. That is what ZooLog is built for; it keeps you inspection-ready, it does not replace your licence, and none of this is legal advice.
Good to know: Big collections often run ZIMS. ZooLog is the daily field-logging and inspection-prep layer around it: fast keeper entry across the whole site, offline, and a clean audited export.
Answers for wildlife & safari parks.
How does it handle a large multi-section site?
Every keeper team logs into one shared collection record from the mobile app, offline in the field. The admin portal keeps the whole park current in one place, so there is a single record to hand an inspector.
Can it cope with dangerous species and large herds?
Yes. Records run per animal or per group as appropriate, with hazard category on file. As a licensed zoo you are exempt from the Dangerous Wild Animals Act; the zoo stock record is what applies.
Do we still need ZIMS?
If you run ZIMS, keep it. ZooLog handles the daily field logging and inspection-prep around it. Smaller parks use ZooLog on its own.
Is it available yet?
The admin portal is live; the keeper apps are in an invite-only beta, not yet in the app stores. Join early access and we will set your park up.
Does it really work offline?
Yes. Keepers log at the animal with no signal; everything syncs automatically when a connection returns. Nothing is lost.
