This policy explains how ZooLog (“we”, “us”), a Marks AI product, collects and uses personal data when you use our website and app. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have questions, email [email protected].

What we collect

• Account & contact data: name, work email, organisation, role, and details you give when you join early access, book a demo or create an account.
• Operational data you enter: the animal records, logs and notes your team creates in the app. This is your data; we process it on your behalf (see our Data Processing Addendum).
• Technical data: basic, privacy-first analytics (aggregate page views via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals) and security logs.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

• To provide the service and respond to your enquiry: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract.
• To contact you about ZooLog access when you join early access: our legitimate interest in following up a request you made, or your consent.
• To keep the service secure and comply with law: legitimate interests and legal obligation.

Sharing

We use a small number of processors to run ZooLog: hosting and databases (Cloudflare), and email delivery. They act only on our instructions. We do not sell your data. We host and process data in the UK/EU where possible.

Retention

We keep early-access and enquiry details only as long as needed to follow up, then delete or anonymise them. Account and operational data is retained for the life of the account and deleted on request, subject to any legal retention duties.

Your rights

Under UK-GDPR you can access, correct, delete or port your data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), though we'd like the chance to help first.

Cookies

This site is cookie-light: our analytics are cookieless, so we don't show a cookie banner for tracking. Any strictly necessary cookies are limited to security and core functionality.
